KORE Connections: Jason Dietrich – EVP & CRO | Sales - CRO Operations

5 minute read

Each month, we proudly showcase one of our outstanding members of the KORE family through our KORE Connections blog series. As we reach the end of 2024, we are thrilled to give the stage to our very own Jason Dietrich, KORE's Chief Revenue Officer. Jason is one of the many driven minds whose dedication and work ethic contribute to KORE's innovative connectivity solutions.

When he was beginning his career, Jason started as a chemical engineer in the pharmaceutical industry. After four years, he made the decision to shift into a sales role. Now, Jason has spent the last 25 years in the industrial automation and IoT space working in sales and sales leadership. When he is not working, Jason can be found with his spouse and two daughters, on a golf course, or watching a Steelers or Clemson Tigers game!

Q: What is the most challenging part of your job?
A: The most challenging part of the job is making sure that our entire global commercial organisation is aligned to our strategy, our cadence, and having consistency in our message to the market. The reason I say this is that the best organisations have a consistent culture and mindset regardless of where you are in the world or what your specific remit is. My goal every day is to ensure that we have that alignment.

Q: What is something you have learned from your experience in the IoT field?
A: For me, the best part of servicing the IoT field is seeing the unique use cases every day and how those use cases are helping customers be more productive, more efficient or supporting initiatives that help people around the world. I have learned that almost everything in life can have a connected strategy.

Q: As we are currently in the holiday season, what are some traditions you or your family have? Are there any traditions you would like to start?
A: My main goal during the holiday season is spending time with family and friends and getting some down time when our team and our customers are getting well deserved time off. We have some traditions in terms of where we go day by day during the holidays, but for the most part it is all about having fun and seeing people that you don’t get to see enough during the work year.

Q: How do you find balance between work and your personal life?
A: It is always a challenge and continues to be a challenge as work can put demands on you that at times can seem overwhelming. My goal for myself and my team is to make sure we strike that balance to ensure we are hitting our commitments and holding ourselves accountable while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I encourage the team to take time off and make sure that they have that needed down time to recharge the battery. I will admit that sometimes I don’t take my own advice 😊!

Q: If you could only listen to one genre of music for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Classic rock would be the easy choice. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton would be on the playlist.

Q: What are you most looking forward to for 2025?
A: The great part about being in my role and having been in sales for over 25 years is that the new year brings a brand new start for everyone. KORE is in a unique position where we have recurring revenues to begin the year, but each new year opens up new opportunities for us to meet new customers and prospects and to see interesting use cases that we have not seen before. I always enjoy the start of a new fiscal year for these reasons and I look forward to conducting commercial kick off events, which brings our team together at the beginning of each year.
